Her daughter Michelle decides she's had enough and arranges one final time-travel adventure to severe the tie between her mother and James, a dashing member of the most famous band of all time.

Mother and daughter are transported to December 1999 where James is scheduled to make his first public appearance since his wife passed two years previously. Michelle's well-meaning plans go awry, however, when she encounters James's son, an up-and-coming concert pianist who is the spitting image of his father...and gazes into his captivating eyes.

Susan wonders if there's any hope for her and James after she disappeared and broke his heart, especially when Hilary, a gold-digging ex-courtesan, enters the scene just as determined to make James her own. It's not like she can simply explain that she was forced back to the future. Is the love between James and Susan strong enough to thwart Hilary's plans or will Susan have to live out the rest of her life in despair?
